The pandemic caused by the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) triggered a global health crisis that affected the economic and social structures of virtually all countries. Along with this, a series of vulnerabilities in the global agri-food system were highlighted, from production to marketing and consumption. Short circuits of commercialization when developed in the context of Agroecology are able to offer solutions to many of these problems, building and strengthening regional processes and helping to create contextualized solutions to local problems. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the vulnerabilities of the long food production and distribution chains became more evident, verifying the need to develop new marketing models that guarantee food security for the population in times of crisis. In this way, the present study aims to make a brief bibliographic review on the concept of short marketing circuits from the perspective of Agroecology, presenting its potential in the current context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
